SNOBBY OR NO? Posted by LADY_AWE (VIP) 21 Dec 2016 2:10pm I prefer to never join an "invite only" table if at all possible. I feel like it is a very uppity concept that implies I-am-better-than-you. Occasionally it is necessary for a short-term need like catching a challenger to your table and avoiding others. But other than a one-time scenario like that, I don't want to join nor receive "special" invites. So for those of you who only set such tables, what exactly is the purpose, if I may ask? private invite Posted by Crackerjacky3 10 Jul 2018 12:04pm I create invite only tables for specific people that are already informed that we are going to play a game with each other. I have notice that people have the invite only tab checked and yet invite everyone to a private table which does not work. I want to play them if they are so mixed up. According to the statutes of most states in the United States, gambling is defined as: "risking something of value upon the outcome of a contest of chance". (Also see No Gambling!). The skill (as opposed to chance) is predominant in games of skill. Playing games of skill for $prizes, therefore, has nothing to do with gambling as it is not a contest of chance -- the more skillful player will win far more often. The chance element of a 'gamble' is either insignificant or missing. When players compete in tournaments or games of skill for $prizes -- it is "competitive entertainment" rather then "gambling". The more skilled winner will always win more matches, tournaments and $prizes.
